Kennedy at the Dentist.

So yeah we took a trip to the dentist while on vacation. If it were up to Kennedy she wouldn't have gone but that tooth just really needed to come out.

Usually she's really excited for me to pull her teeth but not this time. For some reason she had been feeling a lot of pain and didn't want me to touch it. I had her in tears some times. Luckily we have a great friend who's a dentist and they just moved to St. George.

Kennedy did a real good job at being brave in the dentist chair. She was worried and squoze (is that the word?) my hand pretty hard.

We are going to celebrate today or tomorrow before we come home tomorrow for her being brave.

Fun Vacations!

Kira and I and all the kids love to go on vacation and we have the lucky ability to take a lot of them, even though sometimes we probably shouldn't because of the lack of money, but its the time we spend with the kids that counts right? Well we think so. Growing up I remembered going on tons of trips as a kid with my whole family.

On our way down to St. George last night Kira and I were discussing what we liked most about our recent vacations to San Diego and Disneyland. It was really hard to decide on what we liked the most. We discussed certain things like the time of year,  the weather (Although this matters most for me), what we did during the trips,  all that stuff.

We liked many different things about both of them. In San Diego we liked doing a ton of things like going to the swap meet, seaworld, the beach.

At Disneyland well,  we went to Disneyland -- its just magical!

There's one thing we love about vacationing...and that's that we get to to it a lot as a family.

I love St. George! I am lucky enough to have the oportunity to come down south to relax and enjoy time with family and friends. What a blessing it is to have family and friends.
Im not sure what's on the agenda for this weekend but I really don't care. :)

New Project

A couple of weeks ago I asked my kids (Kennedy wasn't home but at dance practice, and Crew, well he just doesn't really talk quite yet) what they wanted for lunch. Hunter said he wanted a cheese sandwich (which meant he wanted a grilled cheese sandwich.) So I made him a grilled cheese sandwich. I sat down to eat with him (I can't remember what I had--probably something a little healthier). When I finished I started to clean up lunch when I heard Hunter say, "Dad, look! I made a boat!"

I turned around and saw his masterpiece

which was grilled sandwich with some bites out of the 'diagonal' part of his sandwich. "That looks awesome Hunter," I said--and the idea was born. Hunter's imagination had sparked an interest in me. That interest egged me on to make a children's book about Hunter, my four year old son.

I can't quite show you what the cover will look like, but I'm telling you, it's going to be great.
